I got a few complaints from my readers about the rate of renting a car in Kota Bharu is expensive as compared to any other cities in Malaysia.
I don't know either it is true or not, but from my experience I can say that they are all right.
My friend who came here last year rented a Perodua Kancil for a day at RM80. And actually it is not for 24 hours rental, she rented the car from 8 am till 6 pm on the same day.
To make it worse, the car did not come with enough fuel in the tank. Just enough to drive to the nearest petrol station.
This is a real "cekik darah" scenario. All this because there is no authority or the standard rate practise in that state.
